My name is Katherine Murray, and I’m thrilled to begin my 25th year in education as a Blue Devil!  I began my tenure as a math teacher soon after graduating from Valdosta State University.  Over the next 17 years, my passion for teaching mathematics led me from Paulding County High to Hiram High and finally to Kennesaw Mountain High.  It was there I made the jump to administration and soon found myself joining the staff of South Paulding Middle School, first as its assistant principal and later as the Evaluation and Assessment Coordinator.  When the opportunity arose for me to join the BHS family and become part of a system known for its strong community support and reputation of excellence, I jumped at the chance!

I believe that students can set goals and achieve success in a variety of arenas including academics, athletics, and service to others.  I believe success is the result of a strong partnership and shared responsibility between students, parents, and educators.  I will do all I can to encourage, to communicate, and to support our student body and our staff members as we work together to maintain the Bremen City tradition of excellence and to equip our children to be capable and content citizens of a complex world.  When I’m not working to learn the Bremen Way, I can be found with my husband, Mark, and our 3 dogs at our home in Rockmart.
